2012 PGA Show Update: Pretty Girls like IonLoop!

IonLoop’s attendance at the 2012 PGA Merchandise Show was a huge hit! First, we were honored with the unexpected visit of rising golf-star Lexi Thompson. She dropped by to visit friends, Bob and Melissa Gotfredson and check out what’s new at IonLoop. Amongst other items, she picked-up some of our new ion necklaces and our newly released designs. The next day, Lexi was off to the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open.

After the PGA Show we received this email from a customer:

“I bought a wrist IonLoop at the PGA Show on Saturday from a great woman there (bluetooth in her ear, don't know her name), with the Swedish logo on it. Came to Michigan where my wife Ewa Laurance (strikingviking.com) plays on the WPBA Classic Billiard Tour. She was ranked 11th in the world, but hadn't been in the top 4 (TV matches) since 2004. I gave her the bracelet before her first match on Saturday. She lost 9-8 to the world's #1 player, but in this format (double elimination) she kept playing. She has proceeded to then beat the world's #3 and #5 ranked players, and has made the televised matches. Semifinals and Final today! Proudly wearing the Swedish IonLoop!”

The Bluetooth gal was Melissa Gotfredson, IonLoop’s CEO. Upon receiving the message, Melissa checked Ewa’s Facebook page to find out that she went on to defeat #2 ranked Allison Fisher and win the Women's Professional Billiard Association (WPBA) Masters! We were even more impressed to find that the beauty is “one of the most visible superstars in the history of pocket billiards” and serves as an ESPN commentator.

So, this post is all about saying thank you: Thank you, Lexi, for dropping by and lighting up our booth with your ever present smile and kind words. Thank you, Mitch, for sharing a Sweden bracelet with your super-star of a wife and thank you, Ewa, for wearing our bracelet to show the love you have for your country.
