At IonLoop we stand behind the power of negative ions and their benefits. There are many kinds of products in the market today, these products help reinforce the importance of this yet unfamiliar technology so; we’ve decided to prepare a list of products that also use negative ion technology:
As you know, IonLoop manufactures ionic necklaces and bracelets that deliver all the wonderful benefits of negative ions. Without a doubt, ionic necklaces and bracelets are the most popular, versatile, and affordable way to experience the benefits of negative ions.
They are offered in different fashion colors and feature unique designs for every taste! They are quite affordable, allowing you to own many different styles that will match any outfit or occasion. Moreover, they are built with IonLoop’s proprietary Ion Regeneration Technology IRT™ which consists of infusing tourmaline, a negative ion producing mineral into medical grade, silicone bands.
Air ionizers use a high voltage to ionize or electrically charge the air with negative ions. Air ionizers have also been effectively used as a treatment for Seasonal Affective disorder (SAD), however, it requires users to have daily sessions in a room with the ionizer. As efficient as it can be, it may not be the best option for those who are always “on the go.”
Several clothing manufacturers have been using the ionization process to saturate fabric with negative ions. Negative ion fabric is said to be made of a special fiber which generates negative electrostatic charges and releases beneficial negative ions to the body.
There are quite a few online retailers of ionic clothing, especially when it comes to sleepwear and athletic gear.
Many hair treatment products in the market today use negative ions to improve texture, reduce frizz and counteract the harmful effects of heavy chemicals, heat styling and over-processing hair. Research has shown that healthy hair contains equal levels of both positive and negative ions. Damaged hair, however, contains a higher number of positive ions which makes it look dull and full of frizz. Tools like Ionic Hair Dryers and Flat Irons, as well as shampoos, conditioners and intensive care creams infuse the hair with negative ions, making it healthier and smoother.
While the benefits to the hair can be amazing, perhaps the use of ions for this purpose is not ideal to improve overall energy levels and athlete recovery.
According to article on the NY Times, silver is “one of humankind's first weapons against bacteria” and has been used for centuries in the form of silver nitrate to fight infections. Today, nanotechnology has allowed scientists to extract silver’s most potent form: Silver ions, which are starting to be used for medical purposes.
As new strains of bacteria become resistant to traditional antibiotic treatments, the medical community has been looking at silver ions for wound care and antiseptic purposes. Ionic silver is a safe and powerful tissue-healing agent that may help us fight effectively fight certain diseases.
On a WebMD article, “Negative Ions Create Positive Vibes,” Pierce J. Howard, PhD, director of research at the Center for Applied Cognitive Sciences in Charlotte, N.C. says “negative ions increase the flow of oxygen to the brain; resulting in higher alertness, decreased drowsiness, and more mental energy. They also may protect against germs in the air, resulting in decreased irritation due to inhaling various particles that make you sneeze, cough, or have a throat irritation", said Dr. Howard.
