Best Emerging Golf Destinations
Nicknamed the “Island of Eternal Spring,” and even referred to as the “Pearl of the Atlantic, Madeira, an autonomous Portuguese island off the northwest coast of Africa, claimed the coveted title of World’s Best Emerging Golf Destination.

Marta Henriques of the Madeira Promotion Bureau responded to the island’s latest distinction by saying, “We are naturally delighted to win this award, not least because of the standard of the other nominees.”
